Moderately classically, religiously, and traditionally trained in vocal performance and choral direction, piano accompaniment and performance, classical and contemporary performance in violin, choir accompaniment in pipe organ, vocal and instrumental conducting, and contemporary and classical vocal and orchestral composing, Mr. Garcia is now proud and joyful to be able to direct the Music Makers @Summerset as well. He has an award for "Outstanding Accompanist" at a Music in the Parks © festival his high school advanced choir group participated at. He is also a singer and a Substitute Volunteer Music Director at his church. His favorite choral and orchestral compositions include J.S. Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G major, BWV 1048" , W.A. Mozart's "Requiem in D minor, K. 626", alongside"Mass for Double Choir acappella" by Frank Martin.

      Ken has sung in choral groups since High School.  He is trained in Barbershop Harmony Acappella Choral singing, and won a 3rd place International Medal with the Voices in Harmony Chorus.  He sings with his wife, Pattie, in the Church Choir, and both were members of the Summerset Singers Chorus for 15 years.  He has lived in Summerset since 2004. Ken retired as a supervisory engineer with the U.S. Army Corps Engineers for 35 years while Pattie retired as a Manager with the Internal Revenue Service. They have two sons and four grandchildren.
