Mr. Garcia brings a deep love for tradition and music to his new role as Volunteer Music Director, Choir Director, & Accompanist of the Music Makers @Summerset. Classically trained and deeply rooted in traditional sacred music and traditional jazz, his skills range from choral direction and conducting to mastery of the piano, violin, and pipe organ.

      A former "Outstanding Accompanist" award winner at a Music in the Parks © festival, he stays active in the local community as a singer and volunteer music director at his church. When he isn’t conducting, you might find him listening to his favorite masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, or Frank Martin. He is overjoyed to share his passion with the Summerset community!

      Ken has sung in choral groups since High School.  He is trained in Barbershop Harmony Acappella Choral singing, and won a 3rd place International Medal with the Voices in Harmony Chorus.  He sings with his wife, Pattie, in the Church Choir, and both were members of the Summerset Singers Chorus for 15 years.  He has lived in Summerset since 2004. Ken retired as a supervisory engineer with the U.S. Army Corps Engineers for 35 years while Pattie retired as a Manager with the Internal Revenue Service. They have two sons and four grandchildren.
